Matthew Iwasinski joined CT Mediation Center in January 2026, bringing with him almost two decades of experience in human services and conflict management. With a background in legal systems and public service, Matthew has held various roles where his analytical skills and strong emotional intelligence were essential in facilitating conflict resolution and supporting families in challenging circumstances.

Matthew graduated from American International College with a bachelor’s degree, majoring in criminal justice and political science. He further pursued his academic journey at the same institution, earning a Master of Science degree in criminal justice studies. In 2025, he became a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst ® (CDFA®), demonstrating his commitment and expertise to assisting parties resolve complex financial disputes.

Alongside his work as a mediator, Matthew has valuable experience in the court system, offering him extensive insight into divorce, parenting disputes, complex financial negotiations, and family law. Since 2012, he has been working closely with families navigating the complexities of divorce and child custody disputes, which has equipped him with the expertise needed to effectively negotiate and guide families toward amicable resolutions.

Matthew’s professional background also includes roles as a social worker and investigator that required an understanding of social problems and the psychological and emotional aspects of family dynamics. These experiences have contributed to his well-rounded approach to mediation, allowing him to tackle delicate situations with fairness and empathy.

As a mediator, Matthew is highly skilled in handling custody arrangements, parenting plans, child support, and financial division, ensuring comprehensive and equitable separation agreements for all parties involved. Outside of his professional life, Matthew is married and a proud father of three children, balancing his dedication to his career with a strong commitment to his family.
