Pay-as-you-go approach
This option allows the family to predict the cost of mediation for each session. The sessions are 2 hours each. Preparedness and low levels of conflict help tokeep sessions focused, productive, and cost-efficient.
Some families utilize their own credit cards in order to maximize points and various other credit card benefits, while some families use joint savings, including tapping into retirement accounts.
Payment Plans
For some families, the pay-as-you-go approach is insufficient to budget their mediation sessions. Some families do not have the funds earmarked for a divorce and decide to terminate joint credit cards, while some keep lines of credit available to purchase furniture or other major items needed to create 2 two homes. A payment plan is available through Lawpay/Affirm Unlike credit cards, Affirm’s loans are not a revolving line of credit. Instead, applicants are approved only for the amount they’re looking to borrow—on their terms. They can select their own payment terms, and there’s no penalty for paying it off early. Unlike credit cards, Affirm does not charge compounding interest with all their plans; and some plans are at 0% interest, and some are more.
Checking if you prequalify or apply for a loan through Affirm does not affect your credit, and there are specific loan terms that do not include credit bureau reporting.
Affordable
Mediation costs 90% less in legal fees compared to traditional litigated divorce. This is the reason the majority of families contemplating a divorce or separation reach out to us.
Unfortunately, not everyone is able to mediate their dissolution. Mediation ONLY works if both spouses are willing to participate (together or separately) in the process of negotiations through guided mediation.
